Mingei, Lawn Bowling & Symphony
One of our residents has extended an invitation to the residents at Park Laurel to get a tour of the work going on inside of the Mingei International Museum. The project is nearing completion and will reopen this Fall, but you be interested in seeing the transformations ahead of time.
We will be coordinating the tours with the Museum. They will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the next two weeks around 3:00 pm.
If you are interested, please respond to RSVP. A final date and time will be provided once we have confirmation from the Museum.
Are you looking for a new hobby? Maybe you are ready to get outside and enjoy our beautiful backyard, which most know as Balboa Park.
The San Diego Lawn Bowling Club is having an Open House on Sunday, May 23rd, from 1 to 3 pm. The bowling green is directly across the street in Balboa Park.
New members are welcome, and you’ll even get to meet a few of your Park Laurel neighbors on the green!

The Friends of the Symphony the residents to partake in the 19th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup, hosted by I Love A Clean San Diego.
To join this effort, participants go out in their neighborhood (or any San Diego County neighborhood) and collect refuse on Saturday, April 24th. At the end of your cleanup session, each participant self-reports the total weight of collected garbage at a link provided by I Love A Clean San Diego.
