We hope that you had a great week and are looking forward to another beautiful weekend with some warmer temps on Sunday and Monday. 

A few updates for you before we embark on the weekend. 

Elevator Modernization
Next Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be having our service elevators inspected by the state. It is a rigorous test. The elevator company then has a few days to make any final adjustments and then turn them over to the HOA on Monday, November 25th.  

Window Washing – Delayed
We are taking a delay on window washing while we wait for a piece to be re-fabricated. We are hoping to have that part installed on Tuesday. The one that was shipped to us was made incorrectly, and they are rushing to make a new one. 

We will keep you posted once the part has arrived and been installed.

Exit Signs in the Foyers
During our annual inspection from the State Fire Marshal earlier this, it was discovered that the illuminated overhead exit signs in all of the foyers are expired and need to be replaced. The Fire Marshal gave us this year to replace them all. 

Pedro, our Building Engineer, will be replacing all of those signs the week of December 9th. It should only take about 10 minutes per foyer. 

Annual Meeting
The Association’s Annual Meeting and Election is next Thursday, November 21st. Registration opens at 5:00 pm, and the meeting will start at 5:30 pm. 

Just a reminder that ballots are due by November 20th. If you lost your ballot or envelope, please let me know. 

Holiday Party
Our Social Committee has another wonderful holiday party planned for Thursday, December 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Please take a moment to RSVP to the Concierge Desk by November 30th. 

Holiday Fund

The Annual holiday fund for all of our hourly staff began Monday, November 11th, and runs through Friday, December 6th.

A collection box has been placed at the Concierge Desk. Checks can be made out to the “Park Laurel Owners Association.” You may also leave cash in the box. If leaving cash, please be sure to put your name in the envelope, so we know who to thank.

Toys for Tots
Each year, our community generously donates toys for children-in-need during the holidays. We are continuing that tradition this year by donating new and unwrapped toys to the ‘Toys for Tots.’ This collection will run from Monday, November 25th through Wednesday, December 11th. 

Toys may be dropped off to the collection bin at the Concierge Desk.
