This year, Action and the Community Associations Institute are collecting food and donations for the San Diego Youth Services Thanksgiving Drive. 

Below is a list of food that SD Youth Services is requesting. You may also donate a $20 gift card by visiting: 2021 San Diego Youth Services Thanksgiving Drive (trailblz.info)

List of food needed for donation:

• Boxed Mac & Cheese
• Canned Green Beans
• Canned Turkey Gravy
• Canned Cranberry Sauce
• Boxed Stuffing Mix
• Canned Yams
• Cornbread Mix
• Powdered Mash Potatoes 
• Boxed Brownies
• Boxed Cookies

We will be collecting these items through Wednesday, November 3rd. Feel free to drop them off at the Management Office or Front Desk. 

Next month, we will begin our annual collection for Toys 4 Tots and clothing and monetary donations for the San Diego Youth Alliance Coalition that serves homeless youth right here in Downtown San Diego.

I am pleased to report that our new equipment was delivered, installed, and certified yesterday. We have been given the clearance to proceed with maintenance on the façade of the buildings. 

Our window washers are currently at another project and are scheduled to be back at Park Laurel on Monday, November 1st. 
 
The North Tower will be fully cleaned that week. The following week, they will transfer the new single-man basket over to the South Tower to clean the windows that they weren’t able to reach.

Since we have a few weeks, I’m working to see if the waterproofing company can come this month and repair the windows that are leaking. I should have an answer on this by tomorrow and will let you know. 

Next year, we will be back on track with regularly scheduled window cleanings now that we have new equipment.

Window cleaning is underway! You may wish to take this opportunity to have the interior windows and your balcony door and windows cleaned by professionals while they are at Park Laurel. 

The costs for these cleanings are as follows;

*Two and three bedroom condos, including balcony – $125

*Penthouses, including balcony – $200

*Balcony only – $25 per balcony
