Welcome to Park Laurel

Lounge Area Paver Work

We would like to inform you of the upcoming maintenance work that is scheduled to be conducted on the 2nd floor lounge area in the upcoming week. As recently conducted in the front of the building, a crew will be on-site to power wash and reseal the 2nd floor lounge area concrete and pavers. This work is essential for maintaining the safety and aesthetic appeal of our community. We anticipate the project to last approximately four (4) days, depending on weather conditions, and is set to begin Tuesday, May 7th throughout Friday, May 10th. Please review the work scope and details below:

Tuesday 05/07: The crew will begin repairs & cleaning process of pavers.

Wednesday 05/08: The crew will power wash the pavers and apply sealer throughout the entire lounge area. The area will need to be closed for 24 – 48 hours to allow the sealant to properly dry. Access to the pool will only be available from the South Tower during this period.

Thursday 05/09: The open lounge area facing the Manchester building that has pavers will be reopened at 3:30pm.

Friday 05/10: The covered lounge area where the ping-pong table is located that has a solid concrete floor will be reopened at 3:30pm. The project will be completed and all furniture returned to its designated area.

The crew will begin applying the sealer throughout the entire designated work area on Wednesday, May 8th. The sealer takes approximately 24-48 hours to fully dry and as a result, these zones will be closed off temporarily. The lounge area facing the Manchester building will be closed for 24 hours and the covered lounge area with the ping pong table will be closed for 48 hours. Both of these areas tend to have low sun exposure therefore will need a longer timeframe to dry and will be tacky to the touch until then.

For your safety and to maintain the quality of work, these areas will be closed off entirely until the sealant has dried. Should you wish to access the pool or jacuzzi during this period, the easiest route will be through the South Tower using Car 5. Please be sure to follow any caution signs in place and stay on the right-hand side using the ramp to the pool to avoid stepping on the pavers.

We understand that construction work can cause disruptions, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. We will strive to minimize inconveniences as much as possible and will keep you updated on any significant developments or changes to the schedule.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to enhance our community. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this work, please don’t hesitate to contact the Front Desk.
